Covid-19 Guidelines

The PHA has updated its advice on Covid-19.

Children with a positive test result will be advised to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 3 days after the day of the test, or from the day symptoms started. Children can return to school after 3 days if they feel well and do not have a high temperature.

As a precautionary measure those who test positive should avoid contact with individuals who are at ‘higher risk’ from COVID for ten days.

This includes:

  • Those individuals with a weakened immune system.

  • Those in care homes, hospitals and other health and social care settings.

The school continues to have a wide range of mitigations in place to help stop the spread of Covid-19. These include:

  • Hand sanitising stations around the school.
  • Staggered standing for parents at collection times.
  • Reminders of hand washing when visiting the toilets.
  • Good levels of ventilation around the school.
  • Deep cleaning of the entire school each evening.

This is an ever evolving situation and we endeavour to keep parents informed of further updates. We appreciate your support.
